Any insight you are willing to share to make this sucker last would be much appreciated. I heard this saw was a good one, with no design flaws, and should basically last for a life time if properly cared for. I'm also now using the Stilh 2 cycle oil (I was told this is the good stuff) 32:1 ratio. I carefully followed the owner's manual instructions in setting the mixure now-"to stall the chain while cutting a log, and to adjust lean/rich until the motor will carry the load without faultering". I also consulted with several people all of whom said I probably had the high speed mixure set too lean and that resulted in the damage. I completed the rebuild last w/e with the aid of an official Homelite/Textron shop service manual I found and downloaded from ebay. REPRINT OF THE ORIGINAL HOMELITE, Sears chainsaw SERVICE MANUAL.
